Thank you for the response. I did attend both the Platform and Green Issues meetings, at Ventura and San Francisco plenaries, respectively. There, I attempted to present and discuss the proposals. So, I know from experience that they are not venues where you can present and discuss your proposals. That is, unless you are a white man. That is one reason the Women's Caucus has asked for a meeting at the plenary. Will there be one?
Here are the people I presented the proposals to. I presented the Conservation of Health proposal in San Francisco a year ago to:
Green Issues Working GroupCo-coordinator:	var m2 = "greens.org"; var m1 = "done";	document.write("Don Eichelberger") Don Eichelberger
Alt. co-cos:	var m2 = "greens.org"; var m1 = "sbak";	document.write("Serge Bakalian") Serge Bakalian,	var m2 = "earthlink.net"; var m1 = "dickermn";	document.write("Tom Dickerman") Tom Dickerman
CC Liaison:	var m2 = "cagreens.org"; var m1 = "thebor";	document.write("Michael Borenstein") Michael Borenstein

I presented both proposals online a few times, starting almost a year ago to:
GPCA Standing Committees: Platform CommitteeCo-coordinator:Peggy LewisCo-coordinator:David Sheidlower was Shane Que HeeState CC Liaison:[open]Members (pending affirmation at May, 2003 plenary):
Stuart Bechman
Budd Dickinson
Paul Franklin
Dennis Keim
John Kropf
Ken Peters
Jim Stauffer
(we are recruiting women members! Please contact Peggy if you're interested)

I have been telling Peggy for more than seven months now that I am interested. Shane Que Hee was the other Co-Co. He said that I would be considered a Member (pending affirmation at May, 2003 plenary). As you can see, he was wrong. Apparently, they are trying to fill it up with white men and keep feminist women out.
Kevin McKeown introduced me to the overwhelming bureacracy of the GPCA a year ago. I wasn't sure I could navigate it without a secretary. When I saw that the standing platform committee was too overwhelmed to assist anyone except men, I offered to help. They have turned me down for several months and counting.
Perhaps you can encourage the standing platform committee to do its job of assisting the "process" in the future. Otherwise, the GPCA is broken. It already lacks the values of feminism and respect for diversity. As an engineer, I know how difficult it will be to repair it.
GPCA recently paid a man $25,000 for fundraising letters we could have done ourselves. Let us pay an engineer to get the GPCA to function. Not me. I don't have time for a full-time job.
Best wishes,
Elisabeth Green, M.S.
