For: The evening of July 26th at the Placerville library

FILM ON CUBA'S EXPERIENCE WITH OIL DEPLETION
For those of you who missed it on July 4, the film
"THE POWER OF COMMUNITY - HOW CUBA SURVIVED PEAK OIL"
will be shown again on the evening of July 26.

Your local Green Party has borrowed the DVD from Peace & Justice to use at the
Regular Green meeting: open to everyone and free of charge.

     "HOW CUBA SURVIVED PEAK OIL"
Is a good look at how the Cuban island community responded to a major decrease
in imported oil after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Besides
many positive adaptations, it includes the initial deprivations and the effects
of the US embargo.

This is a though-provoking and enlightening film for folks like us who know very
little about Cuba, but are concerned about oil dependence.

Come join us at 6:30p on the 26th in the meeting room of the main library at
345 Fair Lane, Placerville, CA. We'll all learn something.
