Congratulations for your part in the spectacular (and rare) defeat of an entrenched Republican, Richard Pombo!  

  Other good news: elevation of Nancy Pelosi and the election of many women in other positions of power proves that the average voter now believes that women *can* overcome their menstrual cycles to act in responsible ways!!!  Gosh.
  

  Also note the election of the first Socialist.
  

  If you heard Ralph Nader on Democracy Now! you will have heard the sad concept that these changes from Republican to Democrat in the House is no call for a progressive mandate as it did in years past.  The reason is fascinating--listen to the webcast when it is posted.
