[Sosfbay-discuss] Draft Proposal for a GPSCC Media Committee

At the last GPSCC meeting (April 5, 2007) I tasked myself with drafting  
a proposal to describe a reconstituted GPSCC Media Committee (last  
previously attempted in 2005).  Here are some thoughts.  Anyone is  welcome
to add to them.   Warner

Green  Party of Santa Clara County Media Committee 
 
The GPSCC Media Committee is a working group of volunteers who
promote  the activities of the GPSCC to the local community through 
announcements to  all forms of public media -- e.g., large and small press; 
radio and  television stations; public announcement websites -- and by 
additional  announcements to community organizations.
 
The GPSCC Media Committee generally shall have authority to transmit  
information about GPSCC programs and events.   The GPSCC Media  Commitee 
also may copy and resend announcements from the Green Party of  California 
Media Committee and may transmit policy statements approved by  the GPSCC 
County Council or general membership.  The GPSCC shall not  independently 
create 
policy statements.
 
The GPSCC Media Committee shall provide a monthly report of its  activites
to the County Council or general membership.
 
At least one member of the GPSCC Media Committee shall serve as liaison  
with the GPCA Media Committee.
 
Additionally, the Media Committee shall have responsibility for creating,  
planning
and implementing:  Media training activities; Video development  and 
distribution; and 
Coordination with Green Party candidates and their  media managers.
