If it took 20 years and all of these criminals were no longer in office we would still work on impeachment until we accomplished it (btw, the person does not have to be in office to be impeached). We must recover our constitutional democracy and destroy the proto-tyrany that BushCo has erected. Fortunately we won't have to wait that long because Conyers will carry through as soon as he senses the political support is there for it and we in the impeachment movement are ensuring that the support is there.
While I am very happy to see your energy applied to this, I think that
everyone needs to take the time to analyze the matter with more
intellect and less emotion.

If you remember the calls for Nixon's impeachment (I do) it did not take
place until it was supported by Republicans. In that case, there was a
lot of documentation and a "smoking gun" in several areas. However,
it was not until a few Republicans, like McCloskey, called for Nixon to
resign the effort really moved. It might be good advice to read
McCloskey OpEd "Nixon and Bush: Presidential Parallels?" at CommonDreams
(http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0717-19.htm) McCloskey is dealing
with the corruption that comes with having power.

While Nixon had the Watergate hearings to demonstrate his complicity in
matters, we have the "Scooter" Llibby trial, a result of the things
about which McCloskey wrote. I think that this reveals something very
different, though equally repugnant. While Nixon was very involved in
the machinations of internal politics, Bush seems to only set goals and
I seriously doubt that anyone will ever find any 17 minutes of erased
tape. I do believe that you will find more fingerprints of Karl Rove in
the matter, however and ultimately, may see him in the same position as
Libby.

Question: How many members of the media in Washington want to be the
next Bob Woodward?

One note is the fact that Bush very pointedly did not do what McCloskey
suggested. Instead they set up Libby as the sacrificial offering to the
Gods of Truth.

If you rely on Conyers to hold those hearings, I think you will wait a
long time. If, rather, you can find another McCloskey in the Republican
Party, and convince that person to act, you may be successful.
