I don't see why Nader would think people don't want him to seek the
Green Party nomination. He's perfectly welcome. He had a lot of support
in 2004; the problem was, for one thing, he didn't seek it, except to
have a stand-in (Camejo) seek it for him. He tried to get it sort-of
like he got it in 1996; to be drafted. Many Greens preferred Cobb as an
articulate candidate who would work to build the party but not campaign
as a potential spoiler. That's the choice many Greens including me made
in 2004. That does not mean we don't want Nader or anyone to run. Let
Nader run in or out of the Green Party; he will if he wants to, anyway.
I would probably prefer McKinney or someone else; we can vote and have
our convention and may the best candidate win our nomination.

I was glad to support Nader actively in 2000 and 1996.
