While Feinstein and Camejo fight each other, there are some in this
party who are taking real issues to the street.
The attached is in draft form from the Green Party LA and was posted to
the Platform Committee email list. Another is in preparation by Cres
Vellucci, State Press Secretary.
Such a pity that such big egos fight over such little things.

*GREEN PARTY OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY PRESS RELEASE MAY 3, 2007 draft
CONTACTS*: ?
*SUBJECT: LAPD ATTACK AT MAY 1 IMMIGRANTS MARCH/RALLY
*The Green Party of LA County deplores the violence used by the Los
Angeles Police Department
on immigrant supporters, and media people on May 1 at MacArthur Park.
We call for
(1) Investigation of the May 1 violent incidents by a Commission
independent of the LAPD and the City of Los Angeles to investigate causes.
(2) the Firing of Police Chief Bratton for already assigning blame to
other than the LAPD before an impartial Commission has investigated (he
blamed certain elements of the crowd
[who] began to create a series
of disturbances")
(3) Investigation as to why the LAPD dispersed a legally permitted rally.
(4) Public disclosure of all LAPD officer names who gave the orders to
attack, and who inflicted bodily harm during the incidents.

Being willing is not enough;
We must do. –Leonardo DaVinci
