In San Jose, an Immigrants Being Active Participants in Change march will
gather at 4pm in the Mi Pueblo Foods parking lot (Story and King Roads)
and will head down King Road and Santa Clara Street to San José City Hall
(Santa Clara and 5th Streets).

Two years have passed since millions of immigrants took to the streets
demanding human rights and calling for "legalization for all". This year a
coalition of Oakland community based organizations, community clinics,
labor unions, student groups, and anti-war organizations have planned a
multicultural, intergenerational event that focuses on the root causes of
migration: economic displacement, trade policy, war and militarization,
and calls for human rights, social services, sanctuary, peace and unity.

MAY DAY 2008 NO PEACE NO WORK
Labor demands the end to the war of occupation of Iraq.
Labor support respect and justice for immigrants.

The ILWU will shut down the Port to demonstrate its opposition to the Iraq
Occupation.

Immigrants will once again take to the streets with their allies to demand
their rights, respect and justice.

At 10:30 a.m., assemble at Beach & Mason in SF, near the ILWU Local 10
Hall at Fisherman's Wharf, march at 11:00 down Embarcadero to Justin
Herman Plaza (across from the Ferry Building), for a rally at Noon.

To march with immigrants in San Francisco, assemble in Dolores Park at
2:00 p.m. MARCH to Civic Center, where there will be a RALLY at 5:00.

To march with immigrants in the East Bay, assemble at Fruitvale BART in
Oakland at 3:00 p.m. MARCH to Oakland City Hall Plaza for a RALLY 6:00
p.m.
