there was Paul Robeson.”

I went to high school in Peekskill, New York and was on the security 
line surrounding the Robeson concert that came to be called “The 
Peekskill Riot.” The man, one of the greatest of the last Century has 
been a constant inspiration in my life. Tayo Aluko probes the life of 
Robeson and portrays the heart, soul, passion and courage of a man who 
has as much to offer us in our time as he did in his own time in the 
struggle for peace, economic and social justice and against racism. Fred
