For those who are not yet on their way to work, this should be good. I
am not sure that I can clearly get KKUP, being behind a ridge and it
comes and goes but hope some are able to tune in. I highlighted (bold)
some of the topics that interest me.

BAREC Friends:

Tomorrow morning, Wednesday January 27th, at 7 am I will be talking
about some environmental Santa Clara County problems and solutions on
public radio. Some of the issues I will be talking about are a BAREC
update, the Fairgrounds and the way the County government selected "its"
developer without community input, our County IPM Program, *San Jose and
Obama's techie approach to green *and what is missing, the problems
with recycled rubber for mulch and lawns in our public spaces, *carbon
sequestration and soil health*, and *our County having more Superfund
sites than any other county in the U.S. with no plan for cleaning them
up and with our drinking water coming from our water table.* There is a
lot to talk about and many issues which we need to address to become
more sustainable. They are all inter-related.

The station is KKUP 91.5 FM. Feel free to call with questions at
408-260-2999 or comments.

I have been a guest speaker on this program speaking about environmental
issues for many years.
