[GPSCC-chat] About OWS "Messaging"

There is a debate going on about what OWS should be doing
re messaging, with some contradictory suggestions.

I think this article is well worth reading because it talks
about the history of messaging of resistance movements.
And it refutes some arguments I have heard elsewhere:

"The search for a message"
     http://wagingnonviolence.org/2011/10/the-search-for-a-message/
     http://www.commondreams.org/view/2011/10/18-4

...

If the article is too long, I suggest you at least read
the last two paragraphs.

...

The last sentence says "Those of us involved in civil
resistance have as one of our most important of tasks
communicating with the people that we want to reach."

That raises a question in my mind. Who does OWS want to reach?

I know that the 1% want OWS to talk to them in a language that
the 1% understands. (Presumably so they can "deal" with it
with minimal changes and move on.)

Off hand, I think OWS should be working on talking to the 99%
more than talking to the 1%.

It has had a lot of success there:
