Palo Alto City Council: Vote on "Move to Amend" Resolution
Monday, October 22 2012 @ 06:30 PM
City Council Chambers, Palo Alto City Hall
250 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto
The Palo Alto City Council will take a final vote on whether or not to
adopt a resolution calling for a Constitutional Amendment that will
clearly state that "Corporations Are Not People and Money Is Not
Speech." The vote comes after a long -- and so far successful --
grassroots effort. The Palo Alto Human Relations Commission passed the
resolution by a unanimous vote last month, calling on the City Council
to do the same.
Please attend this very important Council meeting to show support for
the resolution. Open to all people, but Palo Alto residents are
especially encouraged to attend.
Gather in the City Hall lobby at 6:30 PM to coordinate our speakers and
get stickers showing your support. Council meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
Meeting agenda is at

Details at http://www.cityofpaloalto.org/civicax/filebank/documents/31575.
