Hi folks,
I request approval from the County Council to submit endorsement forms (both paper and online as indicated in my email below (also archived at http://lists.cagreens.org/pipermail/sosfbay-discuss/2012-August/013641.html)) to the campaigns for the propositions that the GPSCC endorsed in last month's general meeting.
If approval is granted I would like to know who should be indicated as an individual contact. I am willing to submit my name and info if that's desirable. Here's the minimum amount of information each endorsement form requires
PROP 34 -- name of organization, contact name, email, postal address, phone and a signature
PROP 36 -- individual name, email, phone, zip code
PROP 37 -- individual primary contact name, email, zip code
PROP 39 -- individual name, affiliation ("Company/Organization" for us), company or organization name, email, phone, city
PROP 40 -- category ("Organization" for us), individual name, company or organization, email
FYI, Prop 37 would like to know if the endorser will send emails to its contact list or make social media posts. An answer is not required, but if we want to do any of that I'll indicate it.
Best wishes,
Valerie

Subject: [GPSCC-chat] GPSCC proposition endorsements: contacting campaigns
Hi folks,
Do we want to publicize any of the GPSCC's proposition endorsements by filling out endorsement forms for any of the appropriate campaigns?
If we do, here's some info for endorsing the propositions for which last week's meeting consensed to 4 Yes votes.
PROP 34
* From http://www.safecalifornia.org/
* Click Supporters, Endorsements.
* Click "Would your congregation or your organization like to endorse Prop. 34? If so, please download, complete, and send in this form." which takes you to
* http://www.safecalifornia.org/downloads/SAFE-CA-Endorsement-Form.pdf
PROP 36
* From http://www.fixthreestrikes.org/
* Click Endorsements.
* Click the "Endorse" button.
* Their online form looks like it's geared to individual endorsements, although there is a space for an organization name.
* I have emailed info at fixthreestrikes.org asking them how to make organizational endorsements.
PROP 37
* From http://www.carighttoknow.org/
* Click Endorsements.
* Click "Click Here to Add Your Official Endorsement (Businesses and Organizations, Elected Officials, Health Professionals, Chefs, etc.)"
* which takes you to http://www.carighttoknow.org/endorseprop37
* Fill out the online form (Under "Type of Endorsement" select "Government or Political Party").
PROP 39
* From http://www.cleanenergyjobsact.com/
* Click "Endorse Prop 39" which takes you to
* http://www.cleanenergyjobsact.com/endorse-prop-39/
* Fill out the online form (Under "Your Affiliation" select "Company/Organization").
PROP 40
* From http://holdpoliticiansaccountable.org/
* Click "Join Us" which takes you to
* http://holdpoliticiansaccountable.org/join/
* Fill out the online form
OR
Click "Download a Sign Up Form" which takes you to
-> http://holdpoliticiansaccountable.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/HoldPoliticiansAccountableSignUpForm.pdf
Note:
I have NOT filled out any of these forms for us. I'm presenting the information in case we want to do this. I suppose I could look into what is required for the "No" campaigns, too. (I thought the "Yes" campaigns would be easiest to identify with a quick search.)
Best regards,
Valerie
