Tonight on MSNBC at 9 pm ET (6 pm PT) Rachel Maddow hosts a documentary about how the Iraq War
was sold to the American people. The documentary is based on the book Hubris, co-written by NBC
News National Investigative Correspondent Michael Isikoff and MSNBC contributor and Mother Jones
Washington Bureau Chief David Corn.

Here's a leadup interview:  http://www.nbcnews.com/id/45755822/ns/msnbc-the_ed_show/#50828711

Rachel Maddow, MSNBC: “It was our
government, waging a Deception Campaign . . . It's time to step back
and realize what that was.”

David Corn: “Larry Wilkerson . . . .
Chief of Staff to Colin Powell at the time, he calls it 'a hoax'”.

Ed Schultz “When the [Vietnam] war
ended, we all thought 'well gosh, as a country we'll never do that
again',
but guess what? That's why this documentary is so critically
important for the generation following us to
consume this and to
understand how we were lied into this.”

Rachel Maddow: “The grounds on which [the
troops] were asked to go were false, and that's the way we have
to
tell this story forever—so we don't do it again.”

The documentary includes interviews with: Douglas Feith, Undersecretary
of Defense for Policy; Lisa Gordon-Hagerty,
White House Counterterrorism
 Aide; Paul Wolfowitz, Deputy Secretary of Defense for Policy; Valerie
Plame Wilson,
former CIA officer; Michael Leiter, President’s Commission
 on Intelligence Regarding WMD; Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (Ret.),
Chief of
 Staff to Colin Powell; former Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson; Sen. Tom
Daschle (D), Senate Majority Leader 2001-03;
Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC);
and Gen. Anthony Zinni (Ret.), Commander US Central Command, among
others.
