There will be a demonstration outside the federal building in San Jose either October 19 or the following Saturday about the KXL pipeline. Our friends at 350Silicon Valley are looking for political people to be there., Sounds like a great place for a candidate who is against Tar Sands to me.

Hey everyone!

As many of you already know, Luis Rodriguez is seeking the 2014 Green Party of California nomination for Governor. It looks like he will have free time - approximately 3 weeks - to work on the campaign from Oct 14-Nov 7th. Given that span of free time, I would like to set up campaign appearances and house parties across the state so people can become acquainted with him.

County Councils: I am looking at the list of all the "active" county councils - by active, I mean a council that meets regularly once a month - and the following counties look like we could potentially be setting up a campaign stop (So you "county chairs" should expect an email or a phone call from me soon):

San Diego
Santa Clara
Marin
Napa
San Francisco
Sacramento

Other active countiesthat conflict with his schedule:

Alameda
Fresno

Just because we cannot meet at your regularly scheduled monthly doesn't meet we cannot make a campaign appearance in your town. Let me know if you can set something up by sending me an email valleycollegegreens at msn.com.

In addition, it is likely Luis would like to address non-Green Party members in order to garner outside support for his campaign and raise donations, so please keep that in mind when we begin prioritizing campaign stops.

I will be posting on this listserve until we can set up our official website.

So if you have questions or would like to set up an event, please send me a private email at valleycollegegreens at msn.com.
