[GPSCC-chat] Vote by Mail

Had to go to the library today in Morgan Hill. I noticed that you could
drop off vote by mail ballots there, so I took mine in. The box was so
full that I could hardly get my vote in. I should have asked how often
someone empties it and forwards to ROV.

I am not so sure that voting too early is a good thing. I know, in one
case, I picked up information in the past few days that changed the way
I was going to vote. Julie Hover-Smoot is running for the Santa Clara
County Board of Election. So far, she has not filed a fund raising
report. However, I have received 5 mailings and at least one "push
poll" call on behalf of Hover-Smoot. All of the mailings were paid for
by the California Charter Schools Association. The Santa Clara County
BOE can hear appeals of local school board decisions regarding charter
schools. We saw this happen last year where the Morgan Hill Unified
Schoold District rejected 2 charter school proposals and they were
appealed.
