Yes, it is very interesting.
But I don't know what to take away from it.
Maybe the main point is "media liberals were now
ridiculing people like him as ignorant, backward
rednecks" and "he felt ever more like a stranger
in his own land" trumps everything else. But
maybe not.
I suspect that most liberals will just ignore
him because of his "backwardness". But that's
unfortunate. I think the left's quick judgements
about the right contribute to misunderstanding,
polarization, and lack of progress on important
issues.
So I think it would be good for us to better
understand the right. And I fear that I am
missing something here.
