Tired of ranting and raving about Iraq? Come join RAY
McGOVERN, CIA analyst for 27 years, founder of Veteran
Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, and associate with
the ecumenical Church of the Savior in Washington D.C.,
with DAVID ABERNETHY, Stanford Professor Emeritus of
Political Science, expert on European imperialism and
nationalism, and member of the Presbyterian Church, in a
thoughtful and faithful dialogue on "Iraq: What Next?"

This multifaith event will be held on Thursday, September
21, 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church Main Hall,
505 E. Charleston Road in Palo Alto. Donations of $5-$15
requested (no one turned away).

Contributing their insights on the history of imperialism
and Middle East policy-making, not always agreeing but
respecting diverse perspectives, staying true to their
religious traditions, Ray McGovern and David Abernethy
will join in conversation with local interfaith leaders,
together seeking wise and faithful paths to peace in Iraq
and in our world.

See http://www.multifaithpeace.org or call 650-569-3416
for more information. Sponsored by Multifaith Voices
for Peace and Justice, American Muslim Voice, Pax Christi
at Stanford, South Bay Jewish Voice for Peace, West Bay
Chapter of Buddhist Peace Fellowship, Peninsula Peace &
Justice Center, and the Peace Umbrella of the Unitarian
Universalist Church of Palo Alto.
