Wanted (ASAP): Volunteers to Review February 5, 2008 Ballot Measures

There are three ballot initiatives approved to appear on the February 5,
2008 election (presidential primary) ballot (and one other initiative and four
referendum petitions under review). See
_http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_j.htm#2008Primary_
(http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_j.htm#2008Primary) (October 11, 2007 Update) The GPCA has two methods for taking
positions on ballot measures -- county polling and plenary decisions. The next
GPCA General Assembly will not occur until after the election -- so county
polling will be the only method for the GPCA to take positions on these measures.

The CCWG is looking for persons to participate in creating the reports that
will be used in the county polling process. If you would like to join in
writing the reports with others for one or more of the February 5th ballot
measures, promptly contact Greg Jan at _gregjan4 at yahoo.com_
(mailto:gregjan4 at yahoo.com) to advise him which ballot measures you want to write about.

Reports need to be completed by the first week of November so county polling
can be held from the middle of November to the middle of December. Report
contributors' names and counties will be listed with the reports.
