Is a Green Party White House bid in Cynthia McKinney's future?

Former House Rep. Cynthia McKinney, who readers of On Deadline will well
remember for her March 2006 encounter with U.S. Capitol Police, may be
embarking on a new chapter in her political career:

Running for president on the Green Party ticket.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution catches up with the latest news about the
former Georgia congresswoman (who lost her seat last year after being
beaten in a Democratic primary).

It seems that McKinney has:

Moved to California, registered to vote there and has been appearing at
rallies with controversial peace activist Cindy Sheehan.

On Sept. 10, McKinney posted this letter at her personal website, in which
she tells the Green Party's steering committee that "I must at this time
withdraw my name from consideration for the Party's 2008 Presidential
Nominating contest."

But since then, her website has been full of posts about the speculation
regarding a Green Party run -- including one linking to this Fog City
Journal report where she's quoted as saying a presidential bid is still a
possibility.

As there often is in situations such as this, a Run! Cynthia Run! website
is also up and ... well, running.

"Peaceable: the ability to interact peacefully. A skill set similar to
social or emotional intelligence that is unfortunately rare in today's
American culture, but can be developed by all. The Green Parties need to
lead the way in Peaceableness."
