Make sure your voice is heard loud and clear: No Stadium Subsidy!

Santa Clara Plays Fair committee will hold our first press conference
at Santa Clara Main City Library to introduce ourselves to the
community and to the media. Representatives of other community groups
who share SCPF's concerns will also attend. Please join us to spread
our message of "No Stadium Subsidy."

We also need volunteers to help with this event by greeting people at
the door, making sure the press and others sign the guest lists, and
distributing press kits. Volunteers would need to arrive 30 minutes
early. If you can help us please email me immediately.

Place: City Council Chambers, 1500 Warburton Av., Santa Clara CA

At this City Council meeting Santa Clara Plays Fair will present to
the Mayor and City Council the hundreds of signed postcards opposing
the stadium subsidy that we collected from concerned citizens like you
at the Art & Wine Festival. Witness democracy in action!

Also City Council will review the proposed Stadium Authority structure
and function as it pertains to the city owning and operating a
stadium.


Please come to the meeting! We want to make sure that city government
understands that we do not want to subsidize a football stadium and
that they should focus on community needs.

Speak your mind to the Mayor and City Council about the stadium plan
or the subsidy (plan to keep your remarks to 2 minutes or less).

If you can't attend, please send an email or note to the Mayor and
City Council before the meeting and let them know how you feel. If
you wish please mention if you are a Santa Clara resident.
