I am not sure how many of you remember the effort to start a San
Benito County Green Party local. Joe was the person who gave that
effort energy. Please help him out as best you can.

Dear Friends,
I just retired from teaching in Hollister and I was encouraged to run
for school board. I accepted the challenge. I am not a politician, but
I believe that I can be a voice of reason for students, parents,
teachers, and staff. I have done research on best teaching methods, as
well as problems in education.
If I am elected now, with a major budget crisis, it will be difficult.
I think I can use common sense, research and consultation with parents
and staff to help me make decisions that will be in the best interest of
children.
Having said that, you know me. My political background has been to
struggle for social justice and human rights, but not a politician. Now
I find myself running a campaign and find that having a vision is not
enough. The reality is that it takes money to get your message out. So
here I am asking you to make a contribution to my campaign. Any amount
will help: $5, $10, $20 or more if possible. Please visit my website
http://joenavarro4schoolboard.weebly.com/ to find out more about my
campaign and where to send the money. Thank you.
