[GPSCC-chat] A good year for minnor party debates

Hi folks,

Below is the text of a post I made on Google+ a little while ago listing a bunch of the minor party debates.  If you're aware of other minor party debates that have online archives or transcripts I'd love to hear about them.

We still need to change the rules for presidential debates so that minor party candidates who have a mathematical shot at winning the electoral college vote are included.  However, this has been a good year for alternative debates that do include these candidates.  I find that very encouraging.

November 5, 2012: Second Free and Equal (www.freeandequal.org) debate between Jill Stein (Green) and Gary Johnson (Libertarian).  Archive at http://youtu.be/iGqHeDxRD1k (and below).

November 4, 2012: Debate among Jill Stein (Green), Rocky Anderson (Justice), Virgil Goode (Constitution) and Gary Johnson (Libertarian) moderated by Ralph Nader (www.nader.org) at Busboys & Poets Restaurant (www.busboysandpoets.com) in Washington, DC.  Archive at

October 23, 2012: Free and Equal (www.freeandequal.org) debate among Jill Stein (Green), Gary Johnson (Libertarian), Rocky Anderson (Justice), and Virgil Goode (Constitution) moderated by Larry King. October 22, 2012: Democracy Now! (www.democracynow.org) Expanding the Debate special.  The live feed of the Barack Obama / Mitt Romney debate on foreign policy was paused to allow Jill Stein (Green) and Rocky Anderson (Justice) equal time. October 17, 2012: Democracy Now! (www.democracynow.org) Expanding the Debate special.  Parts of the previous night's Barack Obama / Mitt Romney town hall debate were re-aired and paused, giving Jill Stein (Green), Virgil Goode (Constitution) and Rocky Anderson (Justice) equal time to respond. October 12, 2012: Democracy Now! (www.democracynow.org) Expanding the Debate special.  Vice presidential candidates Cheri Honkala (Green) and Luis Rodriguez (Justice) were asked many of the same questions posed to Joe Biden (Democrat) and Paul Ryan (Republican) the previous night.
