[GPSCC-chat] Spencer's Blog Zoe Lofgren's Office Protest Thursday 4-5PM

Spencer,

I think it would be much better to enable comments rather than enable editing for users other than yourself. I raise the same objection here as I did when Drew proposed debating Small Businesses Are People Too on a wiki platform that you had set up. The potential for committing serious censorship of other's comments in the name of "editing" is just too great if there is more than one editor on a site like this. Please find a way to enable comments for the general public. Thanks.

Sincerely,

John Thielking

PS My trial ad campaign on Facebook for my page Small Businesses Are People Too was a small success. For $12 I got 8 clicks and 8 new likes (though only 6 of the new likes were recorded by FB as being officially part of the campaign).

The click through rate was a bit low, only 0.12% or so, but that could be normal for FB considering how often I don't look at the ads in the right hand column.

I'm searching for lower cost options than paying FB $2.50 CPM for impressions. I tried TFD Ads (penny per click) but so far they are living up to their bad rep told to me by one of their users (not very many impressions and zero clicks so far). Any ideas?

Interesting blog post Spencer. Any clue as to how to enable comments posting?

Thanks for the question.  I was unaware that you couldn't
    until I looked just now.

This is on Google Sites.  I can authorize specific people to
edit, but the obvious place to control access does not have a
separate option for comments.  That surprises me, because I thought
    it had that feature.

Do I need to pay Google for that feature?

      Thanks,
      Spencer

signed two different letters reminding Obama that he
does NOT have the authority to attack Syria without
explicit authorization from Congress.  One of these
letters states essentially that the decision to use
force in Libya was unconstitutional.  Reading
between the lines, this suggests to me (and I hope
to Obama) that if he goes into Syria and it turns
into a mess (which it most likely will), he could
convince enough Democrats to join with most
Republicans to approve articles of Impeachment in
the House and convict in the Senate;  see "http://lofgren.house.gov/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=825:zoe-on-the-crisis-in-syria-the-us-constitution-and-the-war-powers-resolution&catid=41:of-note-content&Itemid=160".

other members of the House and Senate is wise.
Boxer and Feinstein have both stated support for
intervention.  A recent poll indicated 56% opposed,
19% for with 25% undecided (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/09/03/us-syria-crisis-usa-idUSBRE97T0NB20130903).  Boxer and Feinstein should know that if US involvement in Syria produces seriously negative results, it could be trouble for them.

We need to show her that we are serious. Thank you.
