In an earlier post, I mentioned that we might need to find a new way to 
finance highway maintenance because cars now use less gasoline. The 
Merury News is now saying that the State of CA is looking to replace the 
gas tax with a fee per mile.

Seems like a big problem for out of state licensed vehicles.  I don't 
think that we have a good solution yet.
